There are tons of articles slamming Microsoft for not being able to sell the Surface or Windows Phone. However, while Surface commercials make iPad seem ridiculous for not being able to multi-task or accept a flash drive, the hidden truth is that Microsoft is cashing in on all those former Apple fans.

Often the Microsoft Store runs promotions for $200 toward the trade-in of your old iPad. Usually, there is a similar promotion for iPhone as well. You’re given a gift card and can buy any software or product in the Microsoft Store.

However, the most successful program is the Microsoft Corporate Buyback. You get up to $350 back when you trade up from an old iPad, iPhone or other device to a new Windows Phone or Tablet.
