Cyberist: IT Professional Focused on Reducing Risk and Improving Business

Cyberist® is a registered trademark for an information technology professional who is annually licensed to use the title and trained in the proprietary Delta Method.

Cyberist Origin

I averaged 28 weeks per year traveling for business throughout the nation helping various clients save hundreds of thousands only to hear things like “Way to go Guru Geek!” or “Nice work Super Nerd!”.

I’d smile at the backhanded compliment and tell them congratulations again. Except the sting never really went away and that’s not something you would say to lawyer, doctor, or accountant. Then it hit me – technology professionals didn’t have a title.

Oh, you had things like “engineer” or “architect”, but those were simply terms taken from other industries that often weren’t relevant. So, in 2001 I coined the term “cyberist” to define a new kind of IT professional—one focused not on just billing hours and reselling products but reducing risk and providing results. Today, the term represents a licensed specialist trained annually in the Delta Method, a proprietary framework for streamlining technology, reducing complexity, avoiding loss, and improving business performance.

For technology professionals, becoming a Cyberist® means joining an elite group with a clear mission and measurable impact. For clients, it means working with someone who proactively supports your business and delivers results.

What Is a Cyberist®?

A Cyberist® is an annually licensed information technology professional who is trained in the Delta Method—a proprietary framework for delivering technology projects on time and on budget in 15–30 days. The Delta Method emphasizes:

  • Upfront deliverables for each phase of a project
  • Clear accountability and measurable outcomes
  • Risk avoidance through proactive planning and security
  • Business alignment to ensure technology supports strategic goals

This title isn’t just a label—it’s proven competitive advantage.

Why Become a Cyberist®?

For technology professionals, becoming a Cyberist® is more than a title—it’s a career upgrade. Here’s what sets it apart:

1. Elite Status

Cyberists are part of a select group. The title isn’t handed out—it’s earned through annual licensing and training. This exclusivity builds trust with clients and sets professionals apart in a crowded field.

2. Proven Methodology

The Delta Method gives Cyberists a repeatable, scalable framework for success. No guesswork. No vague deliverables. Just clear steps and measurable results.

3. Business Impact

Cyberists don’t just manage technology—they drive business outcomes. That means better client relationships, more strategic influence, and greater career satisfaction.

4. Ongoing Support

Matrixforce provides ongoing training, resources, and community support to ensure Cyberists stay ahead of the curve. It’s not one-time training—it’s a professional journey.

Why Hire a Cyberist®?

For business leaders, hiring a Cyberist® means choosing results over risk. Here’s what clients gain:

1. Proactive Risk Management

Cyberists are trained to identify and eliminate risks before they become problems. That means fewer outages, stronger security, and better compliance.

2. Faster Project Delivery

Using the Delta Method, Cyberists deliver projects in 15–30 days—with upfront deliverables and no surprises. That’s a game-changer for businesses tired of delays and budget overruns.

3. Strategic Alignment

Cyberists don’t just implement technology—they align it with business goals. That means every dollar spent on IT drives measurable value.

4. Trusted Partnership

Clients know what they’re getting with a Cyberist®: a licensed, trained professional backed by a proven methodology and a respected brand.

Cyberist® Trademark Protection

Since its first use in 2001, the Cyberist® trademark has become a powerful differentiator. To date, over $20 million in revenue has been directly attributed to the Cyberist® title and its associated methodology. That figure represents real business impact: successful implementations, reduced downtime, improved security, and satisfied clients.

This value is why the trademark is federally protected. Unauthorized use of the Cyberist® name is not only misleading—it’s a violation of intellectual property law. The integrity of the title depends on rigorous training, licensing, and adherence to the Delta Method.

Unauthorized use of the Cyberist® name dilutes its value and misleads clients. That’s why Matrixforce takes infringement seriously. The title represents a commitment to excellence, and that commitment must be earned. Cease and desist letters are regularly submitted with an infringement penalty invoice.

If you see the Cyberist® name being used without proper licensing or training, it’s not just a branding issue—it’s a breach of trust.

Looking Ahead

As the Cyberist® brand continues to grow, Matrixforce is preparing to launch cyberist.com—a new platform dedicated to expanding access to Cyberist® resources, insights, and opportunities.

The new platform will serve as the digital home for:

  • Cyberist® licensing and training
  • Community engagement and support
  • Tools and templates for the Delta Method
  • Opportunities to apply and join the Cyberist® network

This launch marks a new chapter in the Cyberist® story—one that opens the door to more professionals and more businesses looking for a better way to manage technology.
