Kevin Fream Thought Leadership for Business Expert Forum at Harvard Faculty Club

Kevin Fream Harvard Featured Speaker
Even as a small boy, I had dreams of going to an Ivy League college. A poor handicapped kid from rural Oklahoma definitely filled the diversity qualification. ARPANET had just been expanded to scientists in the early 80’s, but the Internet didn’t exist so I was always getting books or novels to read from the library because intelligence was the main requirement.
Divergent Entrepreneur Kevin Fream Speaks at Harvard
As a high school sophomore, I scored the highest on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) than anyone had in the previous 20 years in Okmulgee County. Every branch of the military including the Coast Guard came to my house a mile and a half outside of Preston, Oklahoma. With a recommendation letter from Senator Don Nickels, it looked like I’d be going to West Point – which some consider to be even more prestigious.
Then my father suddenly died. It was devastating and something the recruiter said kept replaying over and over in my mind. “Don’t worry about your hand son. We’ll teach you to shoot left handed. You’re going to be an officer and never see combat anyway.” So I called an audible and went to Tulsa University at the last minute – a decision I’ve never regretted and has led me two decades later to the incredible honor of being a featured speaker at Harvard.
Kevin Fream Harvard Information Technology Innovator of the Year
Besides trying to prevent people from becoming hostage to ransomware, my other big passion is preventing business owners from incurring reputation damage and business loss by using unvetted IT support. According to a 2017 Gartner IT Analysis Report, over 90% of businesses use unvetted IT support – including regulated industries like banking and healthcare.
Matrixforce CEO Kevin Fream Awarded IT Innovator of the Year at Harvard
That’s why I wrote this year’s #1 International Best-Selling managed IT services book Revealing Secrets to Streamlining Technology: What Every Business Owner Must Know to Compete. The rarely disclosed dirty secret is that the information technology industry is unregulated, and anyone can claim to be an “expert” without any education, training, or experience.

Kevin Fream Shares Stage with Suzanne Somers
As a cybersecurity TV celebrity, I shared the stage with Suzanne Somers who was promoting her new book Tox-Sick. She looked amazing and was very personable. As a proven entrepreneur, she is an extremely sharp and articulate business woman who answered various questions about wellness and getting started in acting. If your impression is the dumb blonde Chrissy, then you have to stop and remember that it was the Harvard Business Expert Forum.
Kevin Fream Returns to Harvard in 2018
Beyond titans of social media and smartphones, there apparently is a huge void in cybersecurity and vetted managed IT services thought leadership. It’s a distinct honor to have the opportunity to speak at the Business Expert Forum at Harvard Faculty Club in 2018. In addition, look for my other upcoming appearances at Nasdaq, Coca-Cola, and Microsoft.
