Matrixforce Named One of Tulsa’s Best Places to Work 2013
The previous three weeks had been a whirlwind: managed services training in Las Vegas, a board meeting in Denver, and the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference in Houston. With my first day back in the office – and still trying to stop my head from spinning, I was pleasantly surprised to hear Matrixforce was one of the finalists for Tulsa’s Best Places to Work 2013.
For over a decade, the Tulsa Business and Legal News has conducted an annual employee satisfaction survey of Tulsa area businesses to recognize outstanding employers who help build the economy. If you’re one of the 30,000 businesses in and around Tulsa, you should be a subscriber just to be in-the-know and also consider participating next year (nominations appear to run from May to July and approximately 1,000 businesses participated). Even though Matrixforce has 35 years transforming business for our clients, this was the first time we’ve participated and obviously our folks felt strongly enough about it to take the initiative to fill out the survey (ratings from 1-5 with 5 being the highest) without me even knowing.
In late 1993 my wife became terminally ill, but even before that Matrixforce had premium healthcare, which our insurance broker says there are just 4 companies with a similar plan in Oklahoma. We also provide 100% match for 401-K and a host of other great benefits (likely equaled by many companies), but that’s just a small part of what makes our people so outstanding (yes, blatant brag). It took 20 years to figure out the formula, but employee compensation is based upon lowering client technology costs and improving client business operations and not product sales or billable hours. Further, our personnel are challenged and empowered to solve business problems using disruptive technology like our 5 years moving Oklahoma to the cloud.
In the harsh reality of statistical outcomes on August 29, 2013, I was stunned to realize that out of the 20 finalists there were 6 clients and 2 vendors. We would like to congratulate the overall winner and one of our recent Office 365 clients, Tactical Electronics, as Tulsa’s Best Place to Work in 2013. Thank you to the Tulsa Business and Legal News for the opportunity to participate, the tremendous feedback from our staff, and most of all our clients who make us better.
