CRM 2015 Update Highlights

The CRM Online 2015 Update will be live on 12/4/2014. While minor updates are automatically applied for customers, major upgrades like CRM Online 2015 must be approved by the administrator. The new capabilities empower service and sales/marketing professionals with advanced tools to boost customer engagement and deliver top quality customer experiences.

Here is a short list of things you need to know:

  1. Get familiar. All staff using CRM should read the Release Preview Guide for a brief 21 page overview with various screenshots and explanation of new capabilities.
  2. Take a tour. Business professionals should tour CRM for Tablets and CRM for Phones to learn more about navigation and personalized home pages for improved productivity and analytics.
  3. Get prepared. Administrators must manage Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online updates. If the update is not approved, you cannot be scheduled to receive the new features and may be forced to wait as long as 12 months or more. Before your update, take time to verify that customizations are compatible using the CRM 2015 Custom Code Validation Tool.
  4. Engage. Announce the timeframe of the scheduled update to staff, train users in a sandbox environment without impacting production, communicate new capabilities coming soon to customers and vendors, and engage your partner to quickly leverage new competitive advantage.

The Matrixforce CRM Online 2015 Update is scheduled for April and we anticipate enabling and testing these new features with select customers in May. General deployment to all customers is anticipated by December 2015. Look for further announcements coming soon.
